All Hail Golem!!!

Here's the desciption of the construction:

This Stone Golem was constructed using about 5 foam mattresses, over 50 sticks of hot melt glue, and 8 cans of grey and black spray paint. The foam is glued in large thick sheets (approx 20cm thick) to a fabric bodysuit, and the deep cracks are carved into the foam surface. The bodysuit has a zip up the back to allow the wearer to enter it, and the zip is concealed by abutting foam. The soles of the feet are made of corflute that has been sliced in half to expose corrugations that act as grip. The arms are about twice the length of the wearer\'s arms, and act as swinging weapons made entirely of soft foam. The golem took about 100 hours of work to construct, between 3 people. On its first appearance, the Stone Golem sent twenty bold adventurers into a hasty retreat without so much as touching them.

I don't know about you but these guys are totally cool in my book.

They created this for a Live Action Role Playing Game called Mordavia. Yes it's geeky and not for everybody but when you can create soemthing as kick-ass as that Golem. Nobody can mess with you.

Yeah, right.

This is what you've been waiting for, all these years hoping, praying that some one would use Google maps to mark all of the major buildings used in the Ghostbusters movies. Well now it's here.

Prolly the best tattoo evah,

This is a gallery of tattos based on webcomics. However this one from white ninja comics is the best.

Delta Shelter

Tom Kundig's Stilt Cabin has just won Residential Architect Award for a custom home 3,500 sq ft or less. I just want to live there is that asking too much?

Reese's Mothership

Now, personally I kind of despise the whole coolification of the word 'pimp'. It kind of grosses me out and I could go on but that is kind of a downer. However, stupid name or not, pimp my snack is genius. It's people making huge-ass versions of their favorite snack. This one is my favorite.

420, bust down!

So apparently, every year on 4/20, students and residents gather on Farrand Field at CU Boulder and decide to light up a little bit of the nice-nice. This year the police department at the Univ. of Boulder decided to do a little smack down. They took pictures of as many people as they could and now are posting them on their website. If you recognize any one your can get $50 for Narcing on your bud. Sweet.

ASCII/ANSI Art

Penguin Pete has put up a few pages of BBS banners from the 80's and 90's the gold ol' days before the internet. When modems were 300 baud and looked like this. Enough of that, but really some of the art done with just text in these pages are truly amazing.

Scope Watch

This watch is so badass. The y-axis shows the hours, the x-axis shows the minutes in increments of 5 and the red circle at the right is 4 leds that will tell you what minute in between the 5 minute increments it is. I always lusted after these watches but have always been put by price/wackiness. This one is so sci-fi geeky I might have to take the plunge.

Bone Clone!

So, BoneClone sells osteological reproductions. For your university or your goth bedroom your putting together. I particularly like this one, the peruvian skull with cranial binding. Somebody didn't get any tummy time.

where's the reset button?
